It was a peaceful, modern life. You go to school or work, you go home, you eat, you sleep, and you repeat. The biggest worry in your mind was affording the new iPhone the day it came out. So needless to say there wasn't much worry at all. No one sitting in traffic or walking the sidewalks going about their day expected bombs or mother nature to go off, let alone both at the same time. In days, weeks, and, in some places months, people and nature worked together to destroy the world we knew and taking the lives of the people closest to us. We were not meant to escape this fate. But some of us were allowed to survive.
Fast forward to the present. It's been two years since the apocalypse. The human race was almost entirely wiped out. A very lucky few have managed to survive this long. Buildings and houses, almost all have been abandoned, fallen or became hazardous and unstable. Abandoned cars litter the roads and highways, sometimes giving you no choice but to climb over them. The air sometimes toxic and the cities sometimes radioactive. Corpses of animals and people lay on the pavement. Plants and wildlife have moved their way into the city. Wild animals became hostile and a very large threat to the remaining people who are already weak from the catastrophic events. During the night, the strongest predators prowl and lurk in the shadows, waiting for their next meal. They've reclaimed control of the world and put us back on the food chain.
You're only mission and goal in life is to survive, which is quite a challenge. You roam the world day and night, always looking for a way to better your situation. You're also faced with the task of finding food, water and a safe place to camp, being careful not to alert any dangerous creatures or people around you. Sometimes the prey isn't edible, the water not drinkable, or the "shelter" you find could collapse and kill you in your sleep. Not everyone you meet is friendly. You could get used and you could get abused, it's your choice how naive you are.
The struggle is too much for some. Can you continue to be strong and survive in a world gone to hell?
